Surf & skatefundamentalsday camp
Meet up at the Guiones skatepark at 7:30 for a half day of skate and surf. The day starts out learning the basics of a Carver skateboard, getting familiar with the balance and turning used in both sports, and our coaches work individually with each student as they progress. After skate, we head down to Guiones beach and spend the rest of the day surfing and learning the fundamentals. $110 per person.
Pack a water bottle and flat, closed-toe shoes. We bring the pads, the boards, and lunch.
How the day goes
7:30–9
The skate park
We meet at the skatepark at 7:30 and get everyone padded up. Each kid starts on a Carver board with a coach working one on one, building balance and learning the turns at their own pace.
9–10
Lunch
When the skate session wraps up, everyone sits down together and eats. Lunch is on us.
10–11:30
The beach
From there we walk down to Playa Guiones and spend the rest of the morning surfing, working on the same fundamentals from a board in the water.
