Surf & Skate Fundamentals Day Camp
Sunday morning. Guiones skatepark, 7:30. Kids start on Carver skateboards — the same balance and turning they'll use on a wave — with a coach working individually with each student as they progress. After skate, everyone walks down to Guiones beach and spends the rest of the day surfing, learning the fundamentals. $110 per person.
Pack a water bottle and flat shoes. We bring the pads, the boards, and lunch.

On us. We eat together before the beach.

The beach
The rest of the day at Guiones: surfing and the fundamentals.
For parents. The skateboard is the teaching tool. On pavement a kid can repeat a turn all morning; on water they'd be waiting for the next wave. By the time we reach the beach the movement is already there, and the lesson goes to the wave itself. Sunday morning is the calm part of the day at Guiones — cooler air, lighter wind, easier water. Our coaches teach kids all week and stay close, in the park and in the ocean. No skate or surf experience needed.
