Dispatch Surf Co is a mobile surf school at Playa Guiones, Nosara. The sprinter van meets you at North, Main, or Bakers with boards, lockers, showers, and your coach. We teach every level: first waves, intermediate progression, and longboard sessions when the swell and tide fit.
Who these lessons are for
Beginners start on soft-tops in whitewater. Intermediate surfers work on timing, trim, and reading Guiones peaks. Advanced guests can focus on specific skills or longer boards when conditions allow.
Longboard lessons use epoxy or fibreglass longboards from the rental fleet when that is the right tool for the day. Same lesson formats and prices as any other session — private, semi-private, kids, or group.
Why Guiones for longboarding and mixed levels
Playa Guiones is a sandy-bottom beach break with multiple peaks. Smaller December–April swell often suits longer boards and learning. Bigger wet-season days still work when your coach picks the right access and board.
A mobile meet means you do not walk from town with a longboard. Gear stays at the sand. Mixed groups (parents + teens, friends at different levels) book private or semi-private so coaching stays matched to each person.

Van at the confirmed Guiones access. Pickup available if you need a ride.
2 · Board choice
Soft-top, longboard, or performance board — coach picks with you for the day's swell and your goals.
3 · Brief
Tide, peaks, and what you want to work on — pop-up, trim, nose work, or paddling into unbroken waves.
4 · Water
About an hour in the water inside a ninety-minute adult lesson. Kids private lessons are sixty minutes.

Three days or more cost less per day: 10% off for 3 or 4 days, 15% for 5 or 6, and 20% for 7 or more. The booking form applies it.
Want a board without a lesson? Longboard and performance rentals are $35/day. Soft-tops $20/day.

Allan — Head coach. Professional instructor; lifeguarding and beach rescue certified. Comfortable with first-timers through intermediate progression and mixed groups.

Do you only teach beginners and seniors?
No. We teach all levels at Playa Guiones — beginners, intermediate, advanced, longboard, kids, and groups. Beginners and seniors are part of that offer, not the whole school.
Can I take a longboard lesson at Guiones?

Can friends at different levels share a lesson?
